Shweta Salve Biography
Dusky skin, lean body and sharp features, Shveta Salve is the ultimate recipe for glam world. The sensuous Shveta Salve has always believed in doing work in which she believes. And with the kind of work she has done, she has carved a niche for herself on television.
Shveta was born and brought up in Mumbai. She studied in Loreto convent and graduated with a BA degree from Sophia College Mumbai. She is also a trained Kathak dancer and a classical singer. She started her modelling career once she was out of college and even acted in plays.
She was a always into school dramas and dance performances. In her college festival Shveta won the title of Miss Kaleidoscope.
She has inherited her vocal chords from her father who is a great singer. Shveta is also avery good dancer. Her feature is always compared with Madhuri Dixit. Being a tomboy she has always been in sports. She loves adventure sports. Bungee jumping, rock climbing, and scuba diving are all her favourites.
This tomboy has also known for her style sense. She has won MTV Style Award for the Most Stylish Person (female) in 2006. He has even dazzled as a show stopper for designers Swapnil Shinde and Nisha Merchant at the Lakme Fashion Week 2008.
Her brief appearance on the modeling circle pulled her to theatre followed by a long list of television soaps. Her entry to the world of television shows was with Sony’s ‘Jaane Kahaan Mera Jigar Gaya ji’, and moved on with ‘Hip Hip Hooray’ as a high school student. Then she appeared in Sansaar, Khamoshiyan Kab Tak and Dil Ko Kaise Samjhaye.
She shot to fame with shows like Lipstick, Kittie Party and she even came to be recognized as a sensible and stylish actress. She has also appeared in music videos for Stereo Nation and in a popular number from the album Karunesh. One of her most promising roles was in SAB TV’s ‘Left Right Left’ opposite her favourite co-star Rajeev Khandelwal.
Then came the reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ with choreographer Loungines Fenandez which gave her a new identity, that of a talented and sensuous dancer.
Her first silver screen appearance was in the love story ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie’. In the movie she played a small yet powerful role creating awareness against AIDS. Her upcoming film is Dharmesh Darshan’s ‘Bhanvra’, a romantic thriller, opposite television actor Eijaz Khan.
