Puja Gupta Biography
Puja Gupta is quite well known personality as other celebrities. She was the leading model during 2006 & 2007. Her name was on the top list in Modeling. She was the winner of MISS INDIA UNIVERSE 2007. Before that she had stepped in Bollywood but it has been seen that Hindi film Directors are not confident on Puja Gupta talents. Though she has been watched by many Film Directors on ramp show and she has also shown her talents in past years. But it seems no one putting there feet forward to offer her movie. Long wait of Puja had come to end, when she got her debut film in 2002. She has recently signed 1 more film FALTU. She says this film as an Debut film. Here is a short detail about her.

Childhood days of Puja Gupta
Not much of her childhood details are available, but in many interview she had given few detailed information.
According to Puja interview, she mentioned that she was much pampered kid. She was the youngest kid in the family.
Till age of 16 everything was fine in family and they were leading happy life. She also mentioned, she was much protected kid as there was big gap between her and her siblings. Though all her demands were fulfilled as being youngest, but soon happiness came to end when her father passed away when she was only sixteen. She had just put her step in college when responsibility came on her head. Very soon Puja learned how to look after herself and she also took care of her mother. Who is gynecologist by profession.
In college she had a bunch of good friends who supported her when ever she needed help. During her college days in 2002-2003 as she was tall and enough pretty in looks, her friends supported her to participate in college Ramp show. Very soon she was seen doing modeling for local designers. Later on she was qualified for Ramp show on higher scale. In 2005 she kept her feet in modeling professionally on higher level and soon she was selected and become member of Femina contestant. By End of 2006 she was putting her all efforts to learn more on her modeling carrier.
College days and Modeling career
Puja Gupta started her modeling career at very early age. She had started her career from smaller scale by doing ramp show for small designers. By 2001 she was already in list of few Hindi film directors. During her early days of Modeling she kept looking for the opportunity to show her talents to leading designers. By end of 2005 her best portfolio photos were in hands of leading designers. Very soon she was selected among other leading models of Pantaloon.
Soon her name was listed among the leading Female Models of India .In 2006 Puja Gupta was selected for Miss India Universe 2007 contest.Puja Gupta was the Winner Of Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2007.
By winning Miss India Universe, it had opened new doors for her toward Miss Universe 2007. Again her name was seen in the list of Miss Universe 2007. She was supported by leading Designer Hemant Trivedi team.
It was not an easy job for this team to choose the perfect out fit for Puja Gupta. In last, gunmetal gown with bead work was chosen for Puja Gupta for Miss Universe2007 in Mexico.
Though she didn't reach at top but she had managed to 9th place in top 10 in Miss Universe contest 2007.
Filmography
During her early days of modeling she was offered film. In 2002 she did her first film "Kehta Hai Dil Baar Baar".
After finishing her first film she took little time to sign her 2nd film.
In 2005 she signed her 2nd movie "Sab Kuch Hai Kuch Bhi Nahin".
It is said she was very highly tied up in her modeling career as she wanted to reach high peak of modeling.
After finishing Miss universe contest in 2007 she started concentrating on films but she had very tough time to give audition for different films.
She signed Chithabrey in 2009.
In 2010 she signed F.A.L.T.U. which is releasing on 1st April 2011.

Puja Gupta is an Indian Ambassador in Germany to encourage tourism.
